Clicking rear wheel

Maybe a numb question but out of interest.......

I have a Specialized Allez Sport and have recently bought a Specialized Tricross Sport

I noticed when free-wheeling, the Allez is silent and the Tricross makes the traditional "bike clicking" noise

why/what's the difference?

Bearings come to mind I may be wrong. When changing my freewheel on my ss a fresh one makes the sound.

My Mavic wheels make the clicky noise too when freewheeling, don't have a clue what causes it tho and why others don't ....
