Cleaning grimy spokes !!!!!!

Got some replacement wheels today for the wifes bike but they are very oily,grimy,and all out manky,the alloy rims have cleaned up well but the spokes.....bloody eck an absolute nightmare,i've tried bike cleaner,autosol,t-cut and g3 compound,nothing is doing the trick.
Any tips on how to get nice shiny spokes would be greatly appreciated :thumbsup:

Wire wool then anti-rust treatment (Loctite, I think, make it - I have to use it on the tandem skewer I use with the trailer) - they'll turn black so then you won't have to do them again :biggrin:

Wire wool then. Will come up better, but won't keep the shine.

wire wool or scotchbrite pads will get the crap off and bring them either back to silver looking, or shiney. The bling factor of stainless won't last many wet rides, but they will be silver. Had these on my first road bike, and the same spokes were on the kids bikes, and my wife's old bike.

Tbh not really fussed on the bling factor just as long as they are nice an clean :thumbsup:
