Cleaning a turbo trainer

I have recently dug out a couple of turbo trainers (CycleOps Mag and Tacx Cycleforce One), both of which work but which have been sitting unused in a garage for a couple of years and have gathered dust and grime...

I'm wanting to give them a clean but not sure what to use and whether there is anything I could damage.

Any advice or should I be okay with just a bucket and sponge?

Bucket and sponge OK - Mr Sheen is great at removing grime off anything.
