Claud Butler Majestic - Help!

Hi,

Im looking at buying a gold Claud Butler Majestic. See below the specs:
Frame: 531 Reynolds Steel 60cm
Brakes: Weinmann centre pull
Gears: Sun Tour 10 Speed
Front derailleur: Campagnolo
Wheel: 27 inch
Rims: Super Champion alloy
Tires: Continental Gatorskin (new)
Hubs: Sanchin high flanch
Bars & Stem: GB Avanti
Saddle: Selle Italia (has a light tear)
Mudguards: SKS Bluemels (new)

I'd be using it for 15km per day commute and a cycling tour of France this summer. How much do you think i should be paying for a bike like this? From the pics it looks like it's in great original condition.

anywhere between 75 - 150 for a decent one or more if its a really nice example with some history .

i am currently using a Saracen Cumbria for commuting on and it does it with its eyes closed so cant see this being an issue at all and enjoy the tour , might pay to take some tyrs with you as 27" wont be common in europe

Sounds nice, should have thought up to £200 if it's really good nick. Should be fine for France, I'd be more concerned with innertubes, assuming the tyres are good. Good luck.

£250+ is tops but should last you a lifetime , do you a deal on a newer Dawes Galaxy ?
