Claris ST2400 parts

My son has just managed to avoid a pedestrian and hit a brick wall instead (bad move!) and smashed the clear window (over the gear indicator needle) on his Claris dual shifter. Apparently Shimano don't make these available as spare parts and it seems pointless to pay to replace the whole shifter. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

Thanks - but I'm pretty sure that's a different model - his is an ST2400 and it looks to be a different part....

They only seem to have complete levers or the brackets for the ST2400 rather than any smaller parts (unless I'm being really thick?)

Yeah, you might be stuck with that. The other option is to spend half a day trawling around some LBS' to see if any of them have some.
