Chris Boardman in sighting at local station shock!

Well, a slight shock. Just taking the car to the garage and he and his wife were approaching the zebra crossing near the station; I didn't stop.

I was once stood next to him at pick up time at school. I so wanted to say something but couldn't think of anything vaguely intelligent to say to effectively a complete stranger.

Used to see him out training sometimes, gee whizz he was quick.

A friend of mine seen him once in the local Asda (Huyton) with his wife & kids getting some stuff - he also seen him training around Wirral (and had good convo'. with him too) though he was a regular sighting in that area...like you say.
