Cheapest Place For a Garmin 800?

Want to upgrade, where is the cheapest place ?

Ideally i'd buy from Evans and get 'em to price match.

Cheapest I found was Handtec about 2 months ago, I got the performance bundle, less the map.

But be aware that the new premium heart rate straps are a bit iffy and cause lots of spikes into the 200+bpm, if you have an old strap use that as I have had to do

Be warned there are some not so good reviews regarding Handtec.

Also, a portion of Handtec's smallprint... "...Faulty after 10 days of purchase - If you discover that your purchase has become faulty after 10 days of purchase, but within the manufacturers warranty period, please contact the manufacturer directly..." Not sure how you'd get on with that!

I got a pricematch from heartratemonitor against Handtec's price so ordered from them yesterday and it has been delivered this morning.
Not sure why I didn't want to order from Handtec but having used heartratemonitor before and had good service I just felt happier to get the 800 from them. (Not saying anything against Handtec at all as I have never used them).
Can't wait to get home from work now to have a play with the 800 and use it at the weekend. Still trying to justify to myself (or is it the wife) why I have spent so much money on another bike related object. It sure does eat your money this hobby !!

Garmin's customer service is widely acknowledged to be one of the best in the business.

There is a fix for that....

Buy a Polar wear link strap, pop the sender/transmitter off of it, pop the garmin sender/transmitter off your garmin strap and pop it onto the polar strap, toss the garmin strap and polar sender in the corner, put on the polar strap/garmin sender hybrid and go fo a ride. No more spikes.

Just to let you know that Evans Cycles still does the price match for the Garmin range and will match against handtec, who currently seem to be the cheapest online place.
Got the Garmin 800 with Performance pack and European map bundle for £321.59 instead of their pricing of £399. Beats Wiggle, ChainReaction and Amazon, amongst all the others.
