i was thinking of getting some new tyres, sick of getting punctures, any decent ones fro around £20/30 with good puncture protection?

I got the Michelin Pro4 Endurance. If looking for 23mm, you should find for around £50 a pair

If you want two tyres for under £30, then the Rubinos are a good choice

rubinos look good, just another tought, what about puncture proof inner tubes instead?

If you can get the Pro 4 Endurance they'll be cheaper in the long run. When money was tight for me I experimented with some cheaper tires, firstly base Grand Prix they all failed prematurely at the side walls, then I tried Vittoria Rubinos and had to recover a rear end skid a few times. Eventually bit the bullet (so as to speak) and got Mitch Kyrlion's (the forerunner to the pro 4 endur) and after circa 6000 grippy miles (all year round) I replaced the rear (the front now a rear is still going strong on my winter wheels, pity the bike aint ).

Halfords at the moment just over £42 per pair if you use the BC 15 percent off code. I bought another pair yesterday plus you can apply to Michelin to get 2 more free tyres using their free tyre offer.

+1 for Rubino's and never had a problem in the wet or had any skid problems with them. But then again i'm a slower rider then HLaB.

Not much difference in them. I use the Rubino wire beads.
Looking at Wiggle the Pro's are not in stock anyway,

I`m also on Ultra Sport 700 X 23 came with the bike and after 5000+ miles I replaced them with the same. Run at 100psi I have had little trouble from them and they grip in most conditions very well.

I don`t know how they compare to others but I like them.
