Cheap MTB Tyres

Hi,
I am going to be riding a few canal paths next weekend, looking at the forecast it might get a little muddy. The only tyres I have are road tyres.
can anyone point me in the direction of some relatively cheap decent tyres, looking for grip/wear over weight... not fussed if I need front/rear specific..
