They have a fundamental drawback for a light. They don't work. I've had two which both gave up the ghost for no apparent reason. The first I thought I had simply bought a dud. The second replacement went the same way without ever actually having been used.

Poundland also have cheap LED lights. The new ones have replaceable batteries so presumably they're not meant to be disposable.
