My own fault for buying cheap off Amazon, Arrived today so tried it out as the back tyre needed a little air in it. Now it needs a lot of air due to the cheap plastic valve adapter for the presta valve.
You live and learn I suppose..

Name and shame, so people know what to avoid.

I find the Topeak pocket rocket to be fantastic for the size and really cheap now - HERE

Buy for price, buy twice; as my wise old Aunt used to say. Get a Lezyne for mounting on the bike, and/or a JoeBlow track pump for keeping at home.
Mostly true for pumps.

In case it's of interest to the op, the Specialized Airtool Road, Topeak Road Morph G, and Topeak Road Master Blaster are bike mounted pumps that will all do road pressures reliably, with the Airtool Road the cheapest of the three.

Bucking the trend slightly in terms of floor standing pumps, we have a £5 Aldi trackpump in the office that has serviced three bikes reliably for four years or so. My choice at home is an SKS Rennkompressor though - a bit old fashioned, but very reliable, and with replacement parts available - it does higher pressures than you'll ever need.

Keep an eye out for special offers at places like Halfords. At the latter I picked up a track pump with a free pump for the bike for a fiver. Never used the free pump as have a Lezyne, but it's handy to have just in case.

I bought a cheap Beto track pump off Amazon and while it did a job the cheapness shone through everywhere and I barely used it unless pushed.
Just bought a Topeak Joe Blow Sport II track pump and the quality is sooooo much better. Not only have I checked the tyres on all my bikes, I've checked Mrs ND's bike tyres and pumped up a football! ;)

Plus I've got Topeak Pocket Rockets on both road bikes.

Do not skimp on a pump, cos when you need it, you need it.:okay:

My backup is a Secialized model of which name I can't remember, but I like it because it has a folding T handle which makes pumping easier, a smarthead so I don't have to faff around swapping wee bits around that may get dropped / lost in the dark. Oh, and it works - !

The footpump I use for my car tyres failed a few days ago. The JoeBlow stepped in and did the job of pumping up car tyres easily. I won't be bothering to replace the footpump!

I've got two Joeblows and also bought one for the bike racks at work.

Had lent my first Joeblow out to the builders a few doors away to pump up their slow puncturing wheelbarrow tyre but did not expect to get it back.Alas I did.

Just stuck my road morph back in the panniers , im not mucking about with a mini pump for ages trying to get up to pressure when its cold and dark .
Well, you say that, but just a couple of weeks ago I had the misfortune to have need to inflate Lady Skol's 2.2 MTB tyre from flat with my pocket rocket and it didn't take very long at all. The 7 other people that were waiting for me didn't appear to get bored!
