I’m not sure whether to put this here in General Cycling or Touring & Adventure so Mods, please feel free to move it if you think it will get better exposure in the latter.
A Ukrainian friend, knowing that I cycle, passed this on to me in the hope I could get it wider circulation and support.
It’s a 2,500-mile ride from Sheffield to Ukraine to raise funds for Ukrainian children and starts on 5 August. Do we have any endurance riders on here who would like to sign up for it? You can do the whole thing or just a segment if you don’t have the time/fitness to do it all. Or you could simply donate some dosh.
The ride is imminent and they are only at 13% of their target amount, so I’m hoping the large audience here might generate more contributions and/or spread awareness.
The ride is partnered with Voices of Children, a Ukrainian-based charitable foundation, which works to provide psychosocial support, targeted humanitarian aid and advocate for children's rights.
For more info on the riders and route etc., see https://ride2ukraine.com/
and to donate, go to https://www.globalgiving.org/fundraisers/50527/
Thanks!
