Just seen this in the Grauniad..
Charging for Wild Camping..

~£20 a night!~

Really?
I've read about this recently and the sites seem to think that crap ficilities are the same as wild camping. Wild camping means no toilets/ showers or shop, just you, freedom and the elements. Hope nobody falls for this.

Does the grid reference have a socket so you can plug in all your devices, and access wifi to post your Instagram shot of your wild camp?

a few thoughts...

If they aren't the landowner then I doubt they can technically charge anyone, unless they are acting agent(s)
It's just making the NPs less accessible to those of limited means, and only serves to make them more white middle aged middle class than they already are.
It's totally unenforceable. Even if they can catch you, all you've done is a civil tort.. it';s not even a crime

I asked one if it was OK to camp besides some fishing huts. The answer I got was, No it is much better ground for camping by the stone wall. This was in Norway.
In the UK the answer would be some variant of gerrofofmyland.
