I have a Raleigh Pioneer which I am trying to rebuild, not for nostalgic reasons moreso economic.
Finding a low cost 27 inch rear wheel is proving difficult, the six speed cassette I am not interested in, it currently spins freely in both directions. I actually wouldn't mind either fixie, single cog freewheel or coaster brake hub but...
It seems that there are more options, better prices at the 26 and 28 inch wheel sizes. Anybody have experience or views on whether its better to go bigger, smaller, don't or it doesn't matter? This seems consistent with not only the wheels but the tyres and tubes as well.
