I am transferring all the components from one bike to make another, I have never done this before so could someone provide a step by step guide? Some parts are easy for me to imagine but I guess it is the cabling that I am most apprehensive about.

Step by step guide? It's not difficult - just make sure you have the right BB tools. Cabling is much easier with a decent pair of cable cutters.

Cabling would be amongst the least of my worry - even if they can't be reused they don't have to be expensive and are not difficult to replace.

As the first step I would check beforehand that most if not all the components can be transferred across before embarking on the exercise. Are the frames for the same kind of bike, do they have the same rear dropout width, are the seatpost diameters the same, similarly for front mech clamp type/diameter, are the headset requirements the same, is head tube of donor not shorter yet not too much longer, is bb shell of the same size and type etc.

If the frames are not for the same bike "type" like road/tourer/hybrid/mtb e.g. a lot more incompatibility can pop up, including brake reach/type, or chainset suitability to name a few.

Everything seems to be the same size although the BB on the new frame is BSA and the old one BB30 (Sram Apex), are they interchangeable?

Nope. You will need a new chainset.

Unless the Apex chainset is on a conventional GXP bb mounted on a BB30 adaptor to fit the old frame's BB30 shell.

I haven't dismantled it yet but as far as I know it is a GXP but whether it has the adaptor or not I do not know. I notice that a GXP BB is available with a BSA thread can I get away with just changing that?

I think it may help if you said what the current bike is and maybe what groupset and what the new bike may be and and is it just a bare frame or are you moving forks/headset too?

Sorry I missed that earlier 'somewhere'
The new frame is a Guerciotti Libra Cross with a BSA BB threads at 68 mm.forks and headset included.
The old bike is a Norcross SL CX with Sram Apex group set on a BB30 set up.
