Nice I bet you will be telling the chooks how much you love them next , we had Dr Jurds Jungle Juice this morning, an Aussie mix of Port and Brandy. Mrs C is now snoozing - which is why I sneaked away here.

BTW the driving lesson on the steam train went down very well; shreaks, clapping and tears, I think I made a good choice.

"Waitrose recommend it with Turkey". Is that what you're having today Chuffy? It looks yum.
Heh, we had it at our wedding reception, because I don't like fizzy white. It's lovely, but far too drinkable. I got comprehensively hammered and have only had it once since...;)

No turkey here. Probably a roast gammon with butternut squash, sprouts and parsnips.

Not into champagne. The really nice stuff is ok in small amounts but that is about it. I usually only have a mouthful for toasts at events and occasions and rarely finish the glass.

At my wedding a champagne cork was shot into the rafters of the hall at Penshurst Place. As we were pouring for the toasts one of the guests screamed, turned and smacked her partner. Apparently the cork came down and hit her on the head and she thought it was him whacking her on the head for some reason.

Have some madeira, m'dear
You really have nothing to fear
I'm not trying to tempt you, that wouldn't be right
You shouldn't drink spirits at this time of night
Have some madeira, m'dear
It's really much nicer than beer
I don't care for sherry, one cannot drink stout
And port is a wine I can well do without
It's simply a case of chacun a son gout
Have some madeira, m'dear
