Chain to short ?

You should be able to do big ring to big ring, but only just, even though you shouldn't use that combo.
Looking at your setup I think it might be too short

Try using a chain length calculator. All you have to do is look up/measure the chainstay length and tap in the two cog sizes...

Looking at your setup I think it might be too short

Cant get it into big ring atm even with stops set so you can manually pull it over and cable has tension , having a break atm as i have had about 3 hours sleep and my brain is a bit addled with screaming kids .
I know about big big i am just a bit grumpy and wondered if anyone could tell by the piccie

Looks too short.
Chain around both big cogs, mech pulled straight, then add 2 links.

If I'd clicked on this thread this morning I wouldn't be chucking a brand new campag chain.in the bin now. What a pig of a job trying to get the right length , then breaking the single guide pin campag grant you per chain, then trying to fit a power link all the time with the dam thing slipping, and me wishing I had four hands, then when its all done, the bloody thing is to short so I try adding a link but nothing.lines up...so its back lbs one who tell me they only stock shimano, off to lbs two closed for bank.hol, off to lbs three who have a chain but no tome to fit it...so I'm thirty quid, and a whole day down and homeless until wed.

Go KMC, their newer chains fit both (campy and shimano) and in that eventuality you can add a quick link.

You dont have to buy a Campag chain at a premium, any "insert number" speed chain will fit

done, looks a lot better !
odd noise like chain is catching on the bottom of the RD cage , were getting there slowly.

Check that the chain is the right side of the guide between top & bottom derailleur cogs.

It is , its coming from where the chain rubs on the plates as it exits the bottom jockey wheel .

Installaed a washer , looked like the plates were closer together than my other bike making it rub .
