Chain cleaning

I'm considering buying a chain cleaner can anyone recommend good ones & is it worth buying the cleaning fluid for it or is soapy water in the mechanism good enough for the job?

Paraffin and a small paint brush does the job very well

You will spend money one one of those plastic chain cleaners.
You will use it once, realise it's crap and never use it again, to be put on the shelf in the back of the shed...
