Cervelo S1 : Could this be THE best value for money bike around just now?

Just noticed one of my LBS' has the Cervelo 2009 range in stock now and I couldn't help taking a look at the Cervelo S1 ( pretty much last years Soloist ).

Looks cracking value for money. What do you reckon?.

The bonus is it looks absolutely stunning as well :-

That is a real bargain for a top notch bike that the frame of was selling for more than that on its own last year!!!

When I saw your price, I presume it was for the frame alone. I had not researched it beyons looking at the pic. Mmmm - would match my lovely Cervelo RS....

This just the frameset - and I've found it 2p less at Sigma. It is just a renamed Soloist Team at a better/more realistic price. Retailers of the 08 Soloist Team should take note if they want to offload older stock.

Yeah indeed it appears to be just the frameset ( initially I thought from the advert on my LBS's website that it was a complete build ).

As you say though, still very good value for money.
