Does anyone have experience of using these pre loaded cash cards?
The co-op charges 2 euro per withdrawl which is ok but wondered if there is any hidden charges to be aware of.
Many thanks.

I do. I use a *FairFX card which has no usage fees except for cash withdrawals. Try http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money#prepaid for further details. I like the way I can load the card from at internet cafe using my UK bank and be comforted that the cash is wanged over in only a couple of minutes.

If you do decide to use fairfx let me know and I can recommend you, saving you a tenner for the card.

*Other cards available^_^

I used a thomas cook one when I went to SA, that didnt have any daily withdrawal fees, was easy to use and only one place could not work out how to use it (although their card machines were a little crazy)

FairFX is very good I reckon. I used their 'Anywhere' card in Istanbul and have a Euro one too. If you go to moneysavingexpert.com there is a link that waives the usual £10 fee. You get charged a small amount for withdrawals on the Euro but using debit card to pay costs nothing, and the exchange rates are very good. The Anywhere card is slightly different. Their website is very clear.

Here for rides.
we use fairfx cards extensively at work, in a variety of 1st and 3rd world countries. No complaints, and credit/debit card fraud is almost a thing of the past as a result.

VISA cash passport just load it with currency and then use as a normal visa abroad there are no fees to withdraw from either cash machines or making purchases you manage your account online the transaction appears straight away on your account the only fee you will pay is if you do not use it for a year but you could always close the card again for free and when you want another just start one again - Just one thing to remember with these type of cards when making purchases you do not get the same protection as using a credit card - I just use mine as a means of getting cash while abroad and not having to carry travellers cheques ect ect. I was sceptical at first but now after using one I would not take cash abroad
