I have a carrera parva 2015 bike.
The headset is in need of either service or replacement.
There is a lot of creaking and crunching when turning the handlebars the noise is coming from the area where the bottom set of bearings are .
I've stripped the headset down and can see 2 metal rings in the frame that when turned are crunchy and don't run smoothly.
I can't work out how to remove then from the frame tubing to inspect/ replace them. Any help would be appreciated.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
You should be able to flip the remaining inner ring up and see some ball bearins , possibly in a cage. I replaced mine along with a smothering of new grease on my carrera vanquish .
These were in mine

That is a semi-integrated headset. The lower bearing race (ie the outer ring above) presses into the headtube.

So you can either replace the bearings (easy if the races are ok) or replace the whole headset by knocking the outer races out and pushing new ones in (probably an LBS job unless you can get an identical headset with the same dimensions).

Hi.

I have the same problem on the same bike - Carerra Parva. Please can anyone advise on the correct replacement bearings? A link would be really useful.
Many thanks
John
