And yet, when you meet him, a very nice bloke - he speaks highly of Dave D too, I expect. Mind I think Matt Stephens is coming along very well. Like Rob Hatch, and even Mr Quigly is acceptable. But none of them do the wild excitement of CK, who is like the new Duffield. I'll bet non cyclist types just watching a wonderful spectacle (that's our road sport, by the way) think he's pretty good. Not easy to keep the chat going when the mid-race dull bit sets in.

Pretty much. Calling someone who'd tweeted(?) that he should stop banging on about them a 'nutter', added to him stating that he thought helmets should be compulsory throughout Europe a couple of days ago.

I think he's great, always entertaining and usually a good banter with his co-commentator. A light heartedness to his commentary noticeably lacking in eg Sherwin/Ligget.

None of the commentators are as insufferable as people who copy and paste the text from live update feeds onto twitter or forums...
