To make the weight looks like they have compromised on the battery capacity, only 9ah.
Could suit some users if range isn't a problem.

But two further options to increase capacity. An internal battery, and a larger seatpost battery.

I think 9amp/hr batt is a good compromise between keeping the weight down and range.

Which would also increase weight presumably.

There's not too much info on the system, is it thumb throttle or pedal assist?

You can have a torque sensor, it's included on the X model

12.9kg is still quite heavy, I think single handed lifting above head height might be a bit tricky for most people.
