Rode in the C2C today, we did the Hove Loop - seemed silly not to as i only live a few miles down the road!
....All smiles at the start
Was a great day, felt a few drops of rain, but the clouds soon passed & it turned into a scortcher. Plenty of feed/water/loo stops...and CAKE, there was cake!
Did the 60 miles in 5hours 3 mins.
1 Silly car driver - Oooh lets just pull in front of this bike then turn left.
2 silly cyclist - Oooo i'll just stop dead in the road.
1 silly marshal at junction - "It's all claer" FM carries on "After the bike" Bang!
1 silly camper van - i'll just take this very tight bend on the wrong side
1 silly tandem - "We have to zigzag to get up the hills" Why do it right accross my path...?
That averages 1 silly encounter every 10 miles - Good going in my book
My only compliant is they had no gin at the finish line...But we did get medals
