I'm looking to buy a new road / cyclocross bike and the canyon Inflite seems to fit the bill. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea about the sizing of the bikes as the tool on canyons site switches from L - XL with a change of 5mm on the inseam measurement. I am 190cm tall and have an inseam of 90-95 cm. as its my first road style bike I have no idea about geometry any advice welcome.

I'd contact canyon for advice. However, if between. Sizes, it's usually better to go smaller

Do they still have v long lead times?

Canyons tend to go large for the sizing designation (M,LXL etc). I have a 2015 Medium Aeroad and I'm 180cm which fits fine and they had an old Griepel bike on there which was also a medium, and he's around 184cm I believe.

There should be plenty of adjustment in the seatpost to accommodate your leg length (Canyon also do extra long posts), but smaller frame will have a little less reach. This will mean your position on the bike is a little less aggressive and more upright, which might suit you if you're new to road bikes.

In theory you cold swap out the bike for a different size with Canyon if you're not happy BUT they have had their supply issues, so in practice this might become a pain in the @rse. I'd also do a search on here for Canyon. There are quite a few members who've been royally messed around and have vowed never to go near them again after some speculator ordering and billing balls ups. If you can actually get the bike they're great value. Mine is wonderful, but I had my share of woe before it arrived.

Cheers guys I appreciate the advice. I've just realised I put inseam of 90-95cm this is supposed to say 90-90.5cm which is why the original query 5mm isn't a lot to determine the purchase of a bike.
Fortunately the inflite al 9.0 s is in stock in L and XL so only looking at 21 days for delivery. I spoke to 2 people at canyon 1 in London and 1 in European office both said uh you should be alright going to the XL.
This didn't Instil me with confidence, so I phoned back today hoping to get someone different, luckily the person today seemed more switched on and said the L would be best although I'm bang on the border. Going to send me a couple of stems as well to try out.
Both my hard tail and full suss bikes are the same .ie. Smaller frames adjusted with components as mentioned with the seat post etc. Worst case scenario I can apparently send the bike back free of charge and the replacement would take another 2-3 weeks as they are in stock. I've been at this for weeks now so ordered the L and hopefully, will be right. Thanks again

Oh dear if I don't get my bike in 3-4 weeks I will just cancel the order and go elsewhere, I agree with some posts previously on the other thread, if they treat customers like that before they have your money what happens with any problems you have. Apparently they are moving factory which is leading to most of the problems. This all seems abit much for the amount of praise the bikes get, if they can't deliver what's the point ? Suppose I will have to wait and see.
