Can't see what I've already read

Apologies if this has already been raised. In the old version of CC as I read through the postings the title of the ones I'd looked at changed colour so I didn't have to rely on my memory. I don't read all the posts so this was very useful. Is there a setting I should be using to get this back?

Ignore this old git, I've just spotted that the letters go thinner (I expect there is a technical term for this but don't waste your time trying to explain it too me).

BUT - it is not consistent. Sometimes the 'you have read me, my letters are now thin' works, but often not. What is happening?

Threads which are unread (or have new items you haven't yet read) have a bold title and a little blue dot in between the avatar and thread title.

Threads you've read don't have the bullet and are not bold.

The read/unread status from the old software could not be imported so we're all starting afresh.

It may help to mark the entire board as read just before you close the browser - this way any new posts will be marked as such and easier to identify when you next pop in for a read.
