Can't find the Tyres I need.

Hello,

I own a beautiful Electra Amsterdam, very pretty, not massively practicable for Bristol!

I need to get a new tyre for her and I'm really struggling finding one. I need an all white 700 x 40c. If anyone can tell me where I can get one it would be greatly appreciated.

Electra in the states for $24 plus postage by the looks of it as their UK dealer doesn't stock those tyres.
Cheaper to just replace both with black though.

Even I can only get them on special order - you're going to have to buy online form abroad I'm afraid.

Ok i'll try and get them from the states first, and if they prove to be an absolute fortune I'll have to go for an alternative.

Black just won't look as nice but will be far far easier to replace.

If you can fit 50mm in then you could go for Schwalbe's Fat Franks

Hmm a further check finds that they don't ship outside the US so it's Fat Franks (a pair since otherwise you'll have one thin, one fat white tyre which is probably less desirable than two black tyres) or black tyres.
