I've just got myself a Raleigh Airlite 100 and because of the shape of the front forks I am struggling to get a compatable Wireless Computer. Even bought one from Raleigh thinking that would do the trick, but NO luck there. The only place i could get the transmiter to fit safely was right down near the front hub and that was to far away for the computer to get a signal.. Looking to spend anywere upto £75 ish.. Has anyone got any ideals...Pleeeease ???

I had a Cateye one that fit onto the slightly aero forks of my Giant using cable ties. Wouldn't that suit it? I've only looked at a picture of the Airlite and the forks don't look all that strange.

My old VDO computer fastened the sensor to the fork with cable ties also, I am sure it would have fitted a brick if the ties were long enough.

The sensor itself was about 5cm long so could be angled closer or further away from the wheel easily too.

The Cateye wireless ones are pretty good. The sensor fixes with cableties, but has a "hinge" type adjustment to bring the read head into line with the magnet.

Can't see any even vaguely normal forks proving much of a hindrance tbh.

I had the same problem when I tried to transfer my cateye to my new bianchi. the forks on the bianchi are much wider than my old bike.

I had to put a couple of plastic cable-ties together to go around the forks. not the greatest of jobs but it doesn't look too unsightly

The cateye one I use is the same. The sensor "hinge" fits on forks up to 2 inches deep iirc. Mine is fitted on the standard P2 steel Kona fork.

The problem is to do with the foot or pad of the transmiter...Even with the small rubber pad they give you to reduce the radius to help fit smaller diamitor forks, its still far to big. The fork are quit narrow on the edge's which is what's giving me the Problem . ???

Many Thanks ..
Problem solved ... fits any forks due to cable tie connection and has good signal range between the sensor and magnet.
