Interesting to see how he'll get on - he'll probably need to adapt his position quite a bit compared to how he normally rides, wonder if the 3T sphinx bars would be allowed under the Merckx rules

They should make him do it on Merckx's bike on display in the Brussels metro...that would be interesting!

He'll have to be quick if he wants to take my record.

I did it last year in 59 mins 58.407 seconds.

Nobody else who's tried has come in under 60 minutes.

On a more frivolous note, I wish him well. I recall thinking of him as a possible GT winner when he emerged (very young) onto the professional circuit.

Somehow I still think of him as quite young and full of promise for the future.... My needle got stuck somewhere.
