Hi
At the moment i have shimano 105 SPD pedals.
I'm doing a charity ride to Paris this year and have been advised to wear cleats that you can walk in.

Do i have to change my pedals or is it possible to get an adapter to accept mountain style cleats?

thanks

I don't thibk you can get an adaptor but I'm not 100% certain - about 95% Anyway, M520 mtb spds only cost £20 a pair (half price) from merlincycles at the moment - bargain. I've been using them for mtb and touring for the last 4 years and they are great value for money. Don't expect them to be as good as the 105s for cycling though!

Pretty sure you can't get an adapter, and if you could it would likely cost as much as new pedals anyway.

MTB cleats and pedals are only half the battle though. Sticking them on the bottom of a flat soled road shoe isn't going to improve your ability to walk much, if at all. MTB cleats really need paired with shoes that have a recessed cleat before you'll see much improvement.
