AFternoon everyone,

When I was fitting my rear bike rack to carry stuff it stated that you can not ride it and attach a trailer at the same time.

Seems to me both can be fixed on the bicycle.

Obviously loading both up would be too much weight but if I can do it it would saving having to take the bike rack off when I need to use the trailer.

Thanks for your help,

Samuel

There are a range of trailer fittings from axle to seat post - all you need is one that works for you

I have used the Carry Freedom, Radical Cyclone, and Bob Yak with a rack in place

Depends on the trailer. I've got a Bob Yak, which attaches to the rear axle of the towing bike, so doesn't get in the way of the rack. I've used it with a rack without too much problem. You have to jibble the panniers a little to get them to fit nicely, but it's no biggie.

Seat post mounted trailers would be a different problem I think, with scope for thew towing arm catching on the rack or panniers.
