Can I fit this rear mech – advice appreciated?

Replacing the rear mech on my Galaxy Ultra.

Currently has a Shimano 9 speed RD-M772 SGS top normal shadow derailleur fitted.
I mistakenly bought the RD-M771 SGS top normal.

• Can I fit the one I have bought?
• What are the differences?
• If I can fit it, any difference in the way it has to be fitted?

Shimano XT M770 11-34T cassette fitted.

Apologies if these are dumb questions. I’m am enthusiastic amateur when it comes to bike maintenance and learning as I go along.

Yes you can fit it. No difference in way it is fitted. The only difference is the Shadow is more 'tucked in' so better protected but functionally just the same
