Can I fit a Tiagra 4600 caliper in place of a 4500?

Folks, question on brake caliper fitments if I may?

Can I remove my old model Tiagra rear caliper and fit a newer model? Or to be more accurate can I remove the Tiagra rear 4500 caliper and replace it with a Tiagra 4600 model? Any issues there? Halfrauds are flogging Tiagra 4600 calipers for £17. My original 4500 rear is suffering from the notorious 'seizing up all the time' issue despite me lubricating it frequently so I figured I'd just bite the bullet and replace it with a new one.

Can this be done with no problems? Ta!!

I strongly suspect you'll notice almost no different between them.

I would bet you are right, performance wise you mean? - Except that the one that's on there at the mo' is 6 years old and constantly sticks on/fails to return fully unless I clean and lube it after every commute. I've read in a few places that once you start cleaning and lubing these Tiagra calipers with this frequency they seem to always need it. Hence I thought for the sake of £17 quid I could just bung a nice fully working shiny spanky new one on which would give my supplies of TF2 a bit of a respite! If it started to seize up/not return after 6 months it would be £17 well spent! ^_^

That is admittedly a nice and easy way of sorting it out. When I have had the same on my bike I have fully stripped the caliper, but you do need to totally dismantle it. It depends if you enjoy fettling and fixing things, or enjoy just riding the bike.

Last daft question from me for now on calipers folks. Upon inspection this morning the recessed allen bolt thingy which fixes the caliper to the frame is in poor condition and seems to be reluctant to undo. When buying brand new calipers, does the box contain one of those allen headed bolts/nuts? The part I've arrowed in the pic below. I am aware they come in different sizes but it would be handy to know if a new one is supplied with the caliper in the box. Ta.

Yes - at least, there was one with the last lot of Tiagra brakes I bought.
