Guilty as charged m’lord. That is an eerily close guess to what I’ve bought! Yep, drop bar classic tour but in green - here it is!


They had a 20% off sale, bought through cycle to work scheme so a chunk of tax off & interest free credit - essentially just like a free bike! (No, my wife didn’t believe me either😀). Big shout out for Temple too - really super service & the bike is FABULOUS!

I've not seen temple before today - they look to be a good comparison to Spa. Do they sell a frame/forks or only complete bikes? I couldn't see any mention of anything other than complete bikes on their website. Similar frame supply to Spa and others (Taiwan etc), not that I'm criticising, as from my Spa experience, the frames are far superior to the UK mass-produced frames during the 80's

I bought a frame and fork from them last year in their sale and built them up into a great bike.

Ah yes, I've found the framesets section of the website. Some frame options are almost the same price as a complete bike. I looked at the lightweight frameset, rather an odd setup of derailleur with rear-facing dropouts. I note it appears to have (I guess 1") quill stem headset. The tech details are a bit incomplete (like a lot of suppliers, and not just cycles)
