Can anyone link me to a triathlon bike with £500 budget?

£500 new isn't going to get you very far if you want a decent bike-depends how serious you want to take triathlons I suppose.

The bikes above have very bog standard components and if you get really keen you are going to want to upgrade virtually everything pretty soon.

I'd have a look at s/h bikes on eBay if I were you.

One of the main reasons there's not many responses is that you'll struggle to get a set of time trial wheels for £500 let alone a complete bike.

Either bike could be used for a Triathlon. However, neither of the bikes you've linked to are Triathlon specific. This is the cheapest time trial bike I can think of.

I'm sure there will be better / more though.

As Cannondales have a reputation for stiff frames and smaller frames are often slightly better for time trialling purposes, maybe your money is better off spend upgrading your existing bike with carbon wheels and tri bars. How bad a fit is it?

Failing that perhaps you'll strike lucky in the second hand market?

I watched the Windsor Tri recently and the majority seemed to be riding good road bikes with tribars. The top few rode TT specifics ... plus some over funded lower echelon riders.

Only my view from the TV cast.

So a reasonable road bike that can accept tribars, be used for road training, can be upgraded as available seems a decent choice to me.

However I do agree that £500 is just about bottom dollar. Depends on event expectations, age and depth of pocket.

Slightly over your budget - but this looks like a monster of a bike

(No connection to the seller btw)
