Just bought a Capagnolo Lake winter jersey which I am very pleased with. Considering a pair of their winter microfibre bibtights. Has anyone any experience of Campag clothing and what are your thoughts please? Many thanks

Yes, Campag clothing has greatly improved over recent years. Regarding bibtights, I would look at Assos

No thoughts but would be interested in responses.

The Campag Raytech bibs were mentioned in C+ (I hesitate to say reviewed!) and were given 8/10. It caught my eye because I could do with another pair of winter weight bibs but at £110 I would prefer a better idea of whether they worked or not!

Think I may just get a second pair of DHB Merston. Superb for the money

And I'd agree with you. And you can get 2 pair for price of the Campagnolo ones, 3 (4??) for the Assos price!

I've been worn various Campag clothing items since they first came out and they tend to be very good, some items are basic and much like non kudos brands while other stuff is the dogs danglies and the prices reflect this. Certain mid-price jackets (£80ish) for example are questionable as they resemble Nike shell suit jackets I wore in the late 80s.
I've never felt the need to buy Campag bibtights.....Lusso Super Roubaix are more than adequate for my winter century rides.

Rob - I have absolutely no issue with quality. The Lake jersey I bought recently is superb. However I am beginning to think that as far as bibtights go there are none to compare to the DHB Merstons in regards to superb value for money.
