Hi all,
Some advice needed i recently bought a pair of Mavic GP4's(tubs) with stainless spokes(aero front) on Campagnolo record hubs, bearings are excellent and the rims are straight and true, there is surface rust around the eyelets on the rims and the hubs could do with a good polish, i would like to know the best way to clean them up and how much there worth now and when cleaned up p.s also has a 12-17 Gipiemme freewheel as well
Thanks
Kevin

Try some very fine wire wool on the eyelets

hubs should polish up with autosol

nice close ratio block

I've got some superfine somewhere and some autosol, the block is a 12-17 Gipiemme and it's cleaned up really nice, much tlc needed on rims and hubs
Thanks for the reply

Do you know who made them? This was once my go to wheel set made by Tony Mills - nice find. I think they were about 50 quid the pair in 1983
Not sure who made them but they've got a universal cycle centre sticker on them and i only paid a fiver for all three at a local auction...... Happy days
