Can't really see why Campag has decided to go to 11 speed sets. I just bought 10 speed Chorus for my bike and got it at a very reasonable price. Even my bike dealer was a little confused why Campag have gone to 11. Perhaps some sort of marketing ploy!

No good to me as I mostly ride fixed.
When I do use the racers I use three gears at the most.

I run 7 speed for my everyday bike. I'd probably run 5 speed if they did cassettes for it.

Post that in How To, there must be a bodge to convert an 8 or 9 to a 5 or 6. This is where you miss Sheldon Brown...

Nah, just some people like to do these things for the heck of it. I know one guy combined a triple with a 9 speed cassette and a Nexus 8 hub to give a 216 gears!

I've just had my 5 speed Brompton turned into a 3 speed because the 3 speed hub is so much more reliable and easier to use. I find the 3 speed a lot faster..

According to Campag, it's because their weight saving on the Super Record group resulted in thinner chain and sprockets. They then had a gap in which they could put a spacer or an extra sprocket - they thought most riders buying the group would think the extra sprocket more useful.
