Hi
Thinking of getting used campag veloce chainset with bottom bracket. I currently have Tiagra rear mech and sora front mech. Would this work

Yes. Simply put.

If its only the front then yes but if you want to mix the back, no. The spacing between sprockets is different for Shimano and Campag so the rear shifter plus derailleur will move the wrong amount when changing gears. It will work after a fashion because the float on the top jockey wheel will just about compensate if perfectly set up but you are better off using all Shimano or all Campag. The spline pattern on the freehub is different too so a Campag cluster will not fit on a Shimano freehub and vice versa.

If its used though do check you have the right BB length to get the chainline right on your bike.

As long as he uses a 111mm BB axle (standard length on Campag from Xenon up to Centaur) the chainline will be fine.
