Campag Rear mech short medium or long

Can anyone tell me what length mech should be used for a 50/34 = 13 - 29 cassette Thanks

29-13=16
16+16=32

Medium

For doubles, medium mechs are more versatile if you are going to use a range of cassettes.

AFAIK, medium does not work with 29T sprocket.

All recent Campag rear mechs, including short cage ones, have parallelograms that should clear a 29T cog. See 1st para of Will1985's link.

I've run a 50-34 with a 13-29 using a short cage without any problems but, although it would just cope with a 50 / 29 combination (tested very carefully on a workstand), I would never use that on the road (nor a 34 / 13).

My current bike was supplied with a short cage for a 50-34 / 13-26 setup as standard.

Thanks everyone for your advice.I am currently usng a long Campag Veloce Rear Mech but I thought to make it look prettier I also thought that if I use less chain it might make it more efficient for pedaling.

Once I have the money, given the advice I have been given I will change it for a late 10 speed mech.
