Personally, I don't see the point in spending so much when I only need it for general usage and fitness training (no race, competition, etc). My budget is limited.
Current wheels (alexrims S500). Rider 11 stones. Hilly rides.
I've read a lot and the reviews are very good for all of them (2011 models). Fulcrum brand is owned by campagnolo therefore quality should be similar. They all have shimano hub.
Fulcrum 5 is the lightest one, followed by Fulcrum 7 and Khamsin (shimano). Durability is not the problem here..
Since they are all very similar in all regards but weight I was wondering whether I would notice any difference between Khamsin, Fulcrum 7 and what I have now. The aesthetic has been my way of selecting (Khamsin looks much nicer)
Fulcrum 5 is actually out of my budget however do you think that I am better off saving the money until I see a good deal on Fulcrum 5?
My concern is spending money on a new set of wheels and not notice and difference during the rides (especially the Khamsin which are the heaviest of the 3.. but boy they look good!)
What would you do?
cheers
