I've been posting to a social media site since 2010. The site has announced it will cease to be later this month. I've been able to download a limited amount of my data given the web site's helpful bits. The words going with the rides are, so far, unavailable. I do have a list (or can generate a list of all my posts and their individual URLs. But without going through it all manually (something like 2000 write ups) I can't get it onto my machine. They have said that I should be able to get this data and I've clicked the appropriate "yes please" button but I'm not the only one who has not had the data link emailed. I'm now wondering how I can get the data off the web site using some sort of automatic copy and paste bit of code based in my list of URLs. So anyone out there who knows about this sort of stuff? It's all gobble dee gook to me so please treat me gently. Best of all would be a bit of already written code that could be deployed. Preferably free code too.

Here's a typical list (latest last three reports) that I can generate into Excel

03/02/2019 Cycling Pershore 43 03:15:00 13.2mph 2363 good 1
03/01/2019 Cycling Fladbury backwards 53 04:01:00 13.2mph 2920 good 1
02/28/19 Cycling Errands 4.39 00:25:00 10.5mph 302 good 0

Click on the links and you'll see the words I wish to grab. You'll see that the write ups come in various lengths. Some of the older posts will be several paragraphs long IIRC.

I've tried a macro in Excel but it copies the Text into the macro. I need something that can recognise the start and end of text and copy/paste it to my table in the appropriate line.

So Peeps - any solutions out there please?

And yes- don't expect all your hard work posted to "the cloud or website" will always be there. Keep it on your local hard drive(s) if you think it's important/useful.
