Cable Outers for Ergopower Iinternal Routing

Hi all, I've just bought a frame that uses internal gear and brake cable routing. However, it looks as though I have to feed complete cable outers through the frame – I thought that there would be stops on the frame entry points and I'd just feed the bare wire through the frame itself.

So, the question is, can anyone recommend a source of outer cables to do the job? The ErgoPower cable set outers are already cut to length, and I've only seen Shimano-compatible outer cable on the websites I've looked at. Would it really make any difference using Shimano-compatible outers?

TIA,

Thanks, 2Loose, will give them a bell tomorrow...

It is the cable ends that are different ime, so any decent outers should be fine with a campag cable. (no idea what happened to previous post ) Just remember brake outers for brakes, gear outers for gears.:blush:

Cheers, 2Loose...Ha! As it turned out, none of it was necessary... the bike came with 'fishing line' threaded through brake and gear cable routings... I assumed this was to guide the outers through the frame: however, the cable holes actually had sunken cable stops for the outers in them, and routing the inner was a doddle: push it in the one end, it just came out at the other end. So, proper internal cable routing. An ErgoPower set did the job very nicely in the end. Not bad for a £480 Chinese carbon job. It's bloody light as well...
