Hi

I'm buying a bike on a cycle to work scheme where I have to purchase from Evans. I currently own a Boardman Road Comp and want the new bike to be at least as good as this.

I have set my spending limit to £800 and have the following bikes in mind:

1. Cannondale CAAD8 triple £739 (preferred bike at this stage. Only negative seems to be the triple chain ring)

2. Pinnacle Sentinal 3.0 (feels a tad heavy) £749

3. Scott Speedster s30 £799 (didn't have any in show at Evans Manchester but looks a nice bike)

4. Specialized Allez Elite £799 (was my preferred choice before going to Evans this afternoon. I've been informed they don't have any more in stock (in my size) and are awaiting the 2011 order, likely to be in Sept and likely to be more expensive)

Thoughts anyone?

How much does it cost to Oldham?
I'd plump for the Dale myself.

Edit: To elaborate; it's the best frame on that list and the best given to upgrading. look after it and it'll last years.

I have an older model Scott S30 its a great bike since I replaced the really crap original Alex race 28 wheels. They flexed so much I had to open up the brake clearances broke spokes for no real reason then the bearing was clapped out after 700 miles.

I still love the bike and am glad I bought it but the wheels dont do it justice.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm having to stop myself just getting the £1000 bike to work voucher. There's some tasy bikes in Evans for that.
