buying wheels, help needed

hi guys
looking on the Ribble website for new wheels for my Triban 3, the Shimano r501 wheels advertised say they are compatible 8/9/10 speed
but then in the box underneath it says 'black 9/10 shim. does this mean they are not compatible with my 8 speed cassette.

can one of you kind people cast your eye over and check it out for me, really dont want to order the wrong ones, and i could do with ordering tonight before mrs justkeep catches me

They will fit.

I guess they just put 9, 10 shim just to keep it short.

Also shows 8, 9 and 10.

you can upgrade a 8 speed bike to a 9 or 10 speed as the frame and wheels are the same. its just the groupset that changes.

gonna go for the 30mm profile ones as i think they look cooler, then sorting through tyres to go with them. sorry im a newbie at this bike lark and cant spend loads either
