Buying the girlfriend a helmet...

Hi all,

So, even though she told me not to. Since the postage will bankrupt me, I'm going to anyway.

She was cycling home last night and sent me a picture via Snapchat. No helmet on! Proud though I was that she cycled home, I asked her, "Where's your helmet?!" She said that she did need to buy one.

And so, I ask you good people. Since she is in the UK, and I not, what do I need to know when it comes to helmet buying? Measurements, etc?

What about where's best to buy? (I don't have an extraordinary amount of money) Nor an Paypal account so I can't really shop online.

She doesn't need one, but the best advice is she's the one who will wear it, so it needs to fit her head.

You can't measure that youself.

I should probably be clearer. She told me not to buy her a Christmas present - not specifically a helmet.

I think it may be difficult to buy a helmet for someone else, as even if you have her head size, helmets are all different fits etc.
If you really want to though, could you get her a voucher for a cycle store so she could choose her own?
That way you know she'll get one but she'll also get a style she likes as well as a proper fit

Never. I can see where he's coming from. It's an allan key set that has handles. Us ladies of the weaker sex often have trouble with tight allan bolt thingies and have to ask big strong men to help. But I would have much preferred a pair of pretty earrings.
