Apologies for the rather descriptive thread title, but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this....

When I come back from my rides, usually having drunk my CNP energy drink on the way round and had a couple of gels, I typically feel really really bloaty and burpy :sad: It's not nice!

Maybe I'm not shaking the drinks enough? I don't know but I wondered if this was a common feeling or if I ought to be worried.

Can't imagine it's through lack of shaking, the bike takes care of that for you!

As a kid I once thought it was a good idea to fill my water bottle with milk. By the time I got round to drinking it it was halfway towards being cheese.
 
I get the same - it's the sugars.

The solutions are to a) cut the drinks and take water or b) take a small sip like the snooker players do*

*obviously not talking about Bill Werbeniuk here...
