A quick Q re: seat position.

I "think" i'm too far back as i'm riding in a very forward position. This is giving pins and needles until i move my hands about an inch towards me, away from the handlebars.

Am i right in thinking, if i move my seat forward an inch this may alleviate this? This would also then put my bum bones right over the widest part of the seat - i'm guessing that's where it's supposed to be yeah?

In theory, if you've got your saddle in the correct position in relation to the pedals, then the bars need to be moved back a bit, not the saddle moved forward. Try a shorter stem?

I've not got sore knees or anything, so would that suggest saddle is ok position wise? From what i've read if it's wrong you'll get sore knees at front or rear of knee depending on which way it's wrong?

Knee pain is largely related to saddle height.

Try moving the saddle forward a bit and see what that's like. It may be better and it may save you some money on a new stem.

Try that for at least a few rides and see how you get on. But remember exactly where you moved it from so you can move it back (a bit of tape around a rail) and only make one alteration at a time
