OK, I'm finally fed up with my "puncture proof" schwalbe lugano tyres... they might as well be made of paper
So, road tyres (700c), bullet-proof without breaking the bank... suggestions please? Thank you

who told you Luganos were puncture proof?

at twelve pound a pop? I run them and like them well enough but I don't think they're any more puncture proof than any decent tyre

I am using the Marathon Supreme and they have been as reliable as the M+

(....and I know I am going to regret posting that!)

Schwalbe Marathon Plus.
Got four of them on two bikes (would you believe) and not one single flat this winter ......yet.
Getting them on is like wrestling a python though!

I know 'that' feeling fnaar...

Spa Cycles were the cheapest but only in 25's - makes no difference for me on the commuter.
My Look has Pro Race 2 which I'll upgrade to 3s eventually, but they have been very resilient. Maybe it is quality + good high tyre pressure at all times?

Well, the bike was in Edinburgh bike shops last yr for summat... guy noticed a rip in the tyre.. suggested Luganos, as they had "puncture protection belt" (it says so on the tyre itself). I was happy with it for a bit, and bought two more off wiggle. Since then, I had a flat almost every other time I've been out... mostly thorns, 1 pinch flat.

indeed they do but I think they're also supposed to be fast tyres and the two don't really go togther

as I said, I like them and they're the first tyres I've stuck with after chucking a few other brands, I've had a some flats but it's almost always been something big and sharp going clean through the centre of the belt
