I never use the drops on my road bike as I find it uncomfortable, however, I do like riding position of my fixie that is fitted with bull bars.

If I fit bull bars to my road bike will I have to change the gear lever/brake thingys or is there a bull bar that is available to accept the lever/brakes ?

Bull bars are surely only designed for flat bars. The whole point of a drop bar is to give you multiple hand positions to go at

I converted a road bike to bull bar , used mountain bike shifters and brakes but in hindsight I should of just turned my drop handlebars over and sawed the drops off and used the road brifters on the end .

If you use TT style bull bars, the bar ends are usually straight and wouldn't accommodate normal brake leavers.

You could take a normal dropped handle bar and turn upside down. Fit the brake levers on the curve where you want them and then saw off the excess ends of the handle bars. This is what riders used to do when low-profile bikes started appearing.

If the brake levers are not dual brake/gear shifters, then you can get TT end brake levers fairly cheaply and these go straight into the end of the bars.

On one bike I fitted the brake lever backwards, so it was on the curve, but don't think would work with brake/gear levers.

Good luck

You could always use this set-up,

Yep regular brifters will work

Or you can use bar end shifters separate brake levers, but if you have the brifters I'd just use those

Mine started off 'flat' like that but hurt my wrists a bit, hence the angle they currently sit at.
